Our commitment to accuracy, integrity and care

Everything published on MindBridge is held to clear editorial standards — because the topics we cover matter too much for anything less.

Our Editorial Mission

MindBridge is committed to publishing mental health content that is accurate, evidence-informed, compassionate and culturally relevant. We understand that the topics we cover — depression, trauma, anxiety, relationships, burnout, suicide — directly affect the lives and wellbeing of real people. This responsibility shapes every editorial decision we make.

We do not publish content that is sensationalist, stigmatising, clinically inaccurate, or that could cause harm to vulnerable readers. We do publish content that is honest, grounded in research, and written with genuine care for the people reading it.

How We Research and Write

Sources and evidence

All MindBridge articles are informed by credible sources including peer-reviewed psychological research, established clinical guidelines, and the expertise of qualified mental health professionals. We do not fabricate statistics, misrepresent research findings, or present opinion as clinical fact.

Our primary sources include:

Peer-reviewed journals in psychology and psychiatry · World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines · American Psychological Association (APA) publications · African mental health research institutions · Statements from licensed clinical psychologists and therapists

Writer standards

MindBridge content is produced by writers and editors who approach mental health topics with both professional knowledge and genuine human understanding. We require our contributors to:

What MindBridge Is — And Is Not

⚠️ Important: MindBridge is not a medical service

The content published on MindBridge is for informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice, clinical diagnosis or professional psychological treatment. Readers who are experiencing mental health difficulties should seek support from a qualified mental health professional. If you are in crisis, please contact an emergency service or crisis helpline immediately.

MindBridge is a mental health education and awareness platform. We explain, explore and contextualise mental health topics. We help readers identify patterns, understand experiences and access information. We do not replace the therapeutic relationship, clinical assessment or professional treatment.

Sensitive Content Standards

Mental health content frequently involves sensitive subjects — suicide, self-harm, trauma, abuse and addiction. MindBridge follows established safe messaging guidelines when covering these topics including those from the WHO, Samaritans and the International Association for Suicide Prevention.

Corrections Policy

We are committed to accuracy. If an error is identified in a published article — whether factual, clinical or otherwise — we will correct it promptly and transparently. Significant corrections are noted within the article with the date of correction. We welcome corrections from readers and professionals who identify inaccuracies in our content.

Advertising and Commercial Independence

MindBridge may display advertising through Google AdSense and other networks. Advertising revenue helps sustain the platform and keep our content freely accessible. Commercial relationships do not influence our editorial decisions. Advertisers have no input into article content, topics covered or editorial positions taken. All sponsored or promotional content, if published, will be clearly labelled as such.

Feedback and Contact

We welcome feedback from readers, mental health professionals and community members on all aspects of our content. If you have concerns about a specific article, wish to report an inaccuracy, or would like to contribute expertise to MindBridge, please reach out through our contact page. We read and respond to all substantive feedback.
